Sophie established a strong foundation in commercial and property law early in her career, acting on acquisitions and disposals of commercial and residential property and businesses as well as commercial leasing for publicly listed real estate capital companies, developers, and a range of corporate entities.
Sophie has since developed broad expertise in advising on complex property transactions. Her practice encompasses commercial leasing, acquisitions and disposals of commercial and residential property, refinancing, subdivisions, and assisting Richard Rodden under the Public Works Act. She acts for a diverse client base, spanning sectors such as retail, hospitality, entertainment, and agribusiness. Sophie has particular expertise in negotiating commercial leases, with experience across portfolios ranging from supermarkets, large-scale warehouses, office premises and national retail chains.
