Sarah joined Tavendale + Partners in October 2024, bringing more than 20 years’ experience in private practice across domestic and international markets, as well as experience as inhouse counsel in multi-national entities.
Sarah offers significant corporate, finance, governance and commercial contract expertise, having advised on a broad range of matters including business acquisitions, financings, shareholding arrangements, overseas investment, business structuring and supply of goods and services arrangements. She was a senior director at one of the largest multi-national bank’s headquarters in London where she managed the legal team within the Global Restructuring Group following the global financial crisis in 2008, overseeing the restructuring of transactions ranging from £20 million to £1 billion and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
Sarah also brings significant commercial experience in the forestry sector. She was most recently sole New Zealand legal counsel for a large multi-national forestry company where she oversaw all legal aspects of its forestry and sawmill businesses.
A highly accomplished lawyer, she is known for the time she invests in getting to know her clients’ businesses and for the commercially robust but pragmatic advice she delivers.
Earlier in her career, Sarah also held senior roles at magic circle firm Linklaters LLP in London, as well as Ashurst LLP in London.
Sarah works across all Tavendale + Partners’ offices.
