Ruth specialises in Property and Private Client law, with a particular focus on residential conveyancing, first-home purchases, and helping clients navigate KiwiSaver withdrawals when buying their first home.

Ruth's expertise includes reviewing and preparing sale and purchase agreements, guiding first-home buyers through the property purchasing process, assisting with KiwiSaver first-home withdrawals, and advising on residential property transactions. She also advises on wills and enduring powers of attorney, helping clients plan confidently for the future.

Before becoming a lawyer, Ruth worked as a Court Interpreter as she is fluent in both English and Filipino languages. Her experience has provided her with a nuanced understanding of the complexities of the law.

In addition to her legal practice, Ruth is the Convenor of the New Zealand Law Society Canterbury Westland New Lawyers Committee and a member of NZ Asian Lawyers.

Ruth holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of the Philippines and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Canterbury. She was admitted to the bar in 2024.
