Jonny specialises in the complexities of buying and selling businesses, managing commercial property transactions, and handling construction and infrastructure contracts. His expertise extends to advising on corporate structuring and succession planning for privately held companies.
Jonny serves a diverse clientele, including family businesses, commercial property owners, bodies corporate, and not-for-profit entities, frequently providing guidance on the Incorporated Societies Act 2022. He is well known for helping clients navigate the legal landscape efficiently and effectively.
In addition to his corporate and commercial prowess, Jonny has substantial experience in insurance law. He possesses a deep understanding of insurance policy responses and the needs of insurers, loss adjustors, and insured parties. Notably, he advised Southern Response Earthquake Services Limited on claim settlements and dispute management following the 2011 Christchurch earthquakes. More recently, Jonny has assisted homeowners with Toka Tu Ake EQC on settlement packages.
