Guy leverages his practical agricultural experience and professional expertise to support clients through some of their most challenging times. Raised on a sheep and beef farm in Whanganui, he developed a deep understanding of farming from hands-on work both in New Zealand and internationally before transitioning to Agri Banking.
In his six years in Agri Banking, Guy worked with a diverse range of clients, from large corporations to smaller farms, and managed complex, high-risk situations. This experience equipped him with a genuine understanding of the financial pressures faced by businesses and honed his ability to help navigate these challenges effectively.
At Tavendale + Partners, Guy specialises in financing farm purchases, managing business expansions, and negotiating with banking partners. His finance background enhances his effectiveness in guiding clients through the Farm Debt Mediation Process. He is an Associate member of Arbitrators & Mediators Institute of New Zealand (AMINZ).
Guy also focuses on strategic succession planning, advising clients with assets ranging from less than $5 million to over $50 million. He ensures that clients are well-positioned to meet their long-term objectives with tailored strategies. Strong relationships with key professionals and stakeholders further bolster his capacity to provide comprehensive support.
