Alexandra Isherwood

Prior to joining Tavendale + Partners following its merger with Isherwood Le Gros, Alex was a Partner at the latter firm. Her career includes significant roles at renowned international law firms in Vietnam and Iraq, which further underpin her global outlook.

Since returning to her hometown of Nelson in 2016, Alex has cultivated a strong reputation in her chosen practice areas. Her work encompasses a broad range of complex transactions and advisory roles, including cross-jurisdictional acquisitions for listed New Zealand companies. Her expertise extends to capital raising, mergers, and share sales. She has also played a pivotal role in delivering significant property developments within the Tasman region, including The Meadows, a staged 430-lot residential and commercial project, and Berryfields, a staged 400-lot subdivision in Richmond, Nelson. Additionally, Alex has provided strategic counsel to a foreign developer for a billion-dollar mixed-use offshore property development and advised an international oil company on its joint venture with a state-owned enterprise.
