Nelson

We are excited to share the merging of Isherwood Le Gros Law with Tavendale and Partners as of 1 April 2023.

With both firms priding themselves on being vibrant, modern law firms that do things a little differently and champion a people focused approach, the synergies were clear and the decision to come together was an easy one.

Partner Alexandra Isherwood said the experience and resources of the newly expanded firm cements its standing as a leading law firm in Nelson.

“It’s an exciting new chapter for Isherwood Le Gros, coming together as one team with Tavendale and Partners. With our commitment to continued growth and evolution, and with additional expertise in agribusiness, litigation, employment and resource management, we bring a truly unique offering to the Nelson market. We’re looking forward to seeing what this talented team can achieve over the next few years.”

For existing Isherwood Le Gros clients, it’s business as usual, and the Nelson team will still be your first port of call, at our new office in Alton House. However, you may also see some new faces visiting from our other offices, with our lawyers committed to operating as one team and travelling as necessary to meet our clients’ needs.

Tavendale and Partners was brought about by a vision to challenge the legal sector by doing things differently and was founded on an ethos that called for client-centred, fresh, innovative and personalised problem solving. In the last 21 years the firm has evolved to become New Zealand’s leading agribusiness firm, highly regarded for its pragmatic and solutions focused advice.

‘Similar to Isherwood Le Gros, TP’s strength is that we don’t just do bland legalistic advice, we actually give advice to clients matched with what they’re trying to achieve because we take the time to understand them.’

Mark Tavendale (Partner)

“We pride ourselves on putting people first, both our team and our clients. While we have experienced considerable growth in recent years, this has been done without compromising client service or our firm’s culture. That’s why merging with Isherwood Le Gros made sense – they have the same people-focused approach and commitment to doing law differently. With an unrivalled understanding of the Tasman region and offering top quality legal advice we are delighted to have them join the Tavendale and Partners team.”
